Welcome to this course on Succession Planning! This course will introduce you to the principles and practices of succession planning and show how a proactive approach can strengthen workforce sustainability, support employee development, and ensure continuity of essential public health services during staff transitions.

The course also contains downloadable templates and resources to guide you through each step of the succession planning process. Throughout the course, you will apply what you learn using a fictional case study that demonstrates the six steps of successful succession planning in practice.
